2019 Award of Merit - New Project - Merritt Clubs Canton

With over 7,000 members, Merritt Clubs Canton retained Merritt Construction Services to complete a $20 million new construction project. Located at 3401 Boston Street, the club added an eight-story addition with a rooftop deck featuring two pools and a full-service bar and restaurant; 20,000 square feet of new workout space; a ground-level, six-lane indoor pool; and six floors of parking with a total of 350 spaces.

In February 2018, a main-level expansion opened to feature an indoor-outdoor turf area, an expanded children’s area and a new café and lounge called LM Fresh, named after Merritt Companies’ founder Leroy Merritt. Completed in May 2018, the 25,000-square-foot rooftop—Baltimore’s largest rooftop pool deck—offers 360° views of the city.
